This week’s podcast episode is with Leslie Morgan Steiner, an author, consultant and thought leader on women’s leadership, work-life balance, inspirational parenting, overcoming adversity and surviving violence against women.

She recently completed her fourth nonfiction book, The Naked Truth, which explores female aging and sexuality after motherhood and divorce. Her corporate experience includes The Washington Post, Johnson & Johnson, Leo Burnett and Seventeen Magazine.

Leslie joins us as our guest-expert this week and shares her story about gradually becoming a victim of domestic abuse. As you’ll hear in our conversation, Leslie’s relationship didn’t start out as an abusive one. In fact, it only began once they got married.

Listen in as we talk about:

  • Why Leslie isn’t ashamed of being a domestic violence survivor
  • Leslie’s story, and how she became a victim of abuse by the person she loved most
  • The warning signs that Leslie missed
  • How Leslie’s close friends supported her and became her safe space
  • How she managed to leave her husband and ultimately forgive him
