In this episode, I am deeply honored to have Donna Lathrop as my guest. Donna and her husband lost their two sons, Mark and Kevin, when their car was hit by a train years ago.

Donna is an 83-year-old wife, a mother of three boys, and a grandmother of 4 boys. She enjoys painting, quilting, most crafts, and being a grandmother.

Donna says she is an ordinary person who was profoundly changed through the loss of her two boys, Mark and Kevin. After the loss, she became a Deacon of the church and came out of her shell to help others deal with their losses.

This made her a stronger person and gave her a little more self-confidence.

Since she has lost her two sons, she has spent her life trying to be accepting of all people.

Listen in as we talk about:

  • [1:45] Who Mark and Kevin were, and how Donna lost both of her boys tragically
  • [6:00] How Donna found her faith through her loss
  • [9:00] What grief looked like in the early years
  • [12:45] Adopting a new son and rebuilding their life
