In this week’s episode, I sit down with 19-year-old Tilly Bolton who is from the UK to talk about her self-harm recovery journey.

Tilly has struggled with her mental health since roughly 12 years old, has borderline personality disorder, and is in recovery from anorexia nervosa.

Tilly uses her instagram page as a platform to educate people about mental illness and recovery because she wants to help other people who are struggling with similar issues. She is currently studying to become a mental health nurse.

Listen in as we talk about:

  • The loneliness she felt in her hurt and struggle
  • How a trusted friend helped her get the support she needed
  • The way Tilly learned how to cope with her intense emotions
  • How she’s using social media for good an to empower others
